Murdock vs Shelley

I've seen a lot of people post about Shelley but havent seen much on Murdock. Isn't he a higher rated WR than Shelley? Last I saw he had UT in his top 2 with the Urban legend scheduled to visit.

Maybe he did have an offer but as UT's needs are met and scholarships get short players are removed and his was one that was and he's no longer on UT's board.

Here is the problem: what were the CC apologists saying two years ago? He lacked talent around him. It may be hard to recriut receivers with Meachem, Smith and others, but we cannot get stuck in the same predicament that we were just a short time ago. Granted KW never panned out and DS left, but can we really afford to play against the Shelleys and the Turners once Meachem and Smith are gone? It also takes talent to recruit talent.
It will also be interesting to see how the three star receivers already recruited pan out. Maybe UT has already found the diamond in the rough.

Yeah, Like RoShaun Fellows. He was only 3 stars and he turned out pretty good.

You are right. It seems like we really need a possession receiver, someone smart enough to find holes in the coverage on third down. Seems like the last one that we had was Jason Witten. Recently they have relied on the slot for this duty.

We need some for the future. If we could get in one strong receiver to lead the next group of them that comes through, say classes of 2006 and 2007, that would probably be ideal.

Next year will put more emphasis on WR but UT got some good ones this year.

Yeah. We could always use one, though. Next year we will absolutely need to pick some up.
