Murray State vs Memphis

MSU is pretty tough. I don't think Memphis has lived up to expectations but MSU can play with almost anyone in the country. Already have wins over Southern Miss, Dayton, and WKU so far. Not too shabby.

Memphis PA announcer, during introductions, announced Memphis coach as John Calipari... :eek:lol::eek:lol:

I remember Cal was at the Grizzlies/Kings game last NBA season (the game where the Grizzlies clinched playoff spot). I guess he was there for the Larry Finch funeral and to see Cousins play. They showed him on the jumbotron in a suite and everyone started booing.

Agree with this. Memphis pounds AP by 30 and then loses to MS. I think it says more about MS than Memphis, though there is no doubt that Memphis was also overrated. MS should do pretty well in conference this year.

I will call it like this....the jury is about to reconvene on the coaching abilities of Josh Pastner....I've said before...he has AS MUCH talent as any team in the country...I have seen his teams play in person several times on multiple times on TV....HE DOES NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE TIME OUT HUDDLES..I personally like him but man did he slid into a heavy load job at a way too early age....If he doesnt win this year, and I mean win big time, he will be squarely on the hot seat...and as far as Murray State goes? Yeah they are probable a fairly good little team and could beat us....BUT MEMPHIS SHOULD NEVER LOSE TO THEM AT HOME,,,EVER....EVER....EVER....

As long as he is bringing in 5 star players, he will not be on the hot seat. Do you remember who was willing to take the Memphis job?
