Just saw this on the FootballScoop

Florida: There are multiple reports that Muschamp has offered the defensive coordinator position to Kirby Smart. *We are waiting to hear more regarding Lance Thompson. *

What do you think about this possibility now that its actually been reported by a (and I use this term lightly) semi-reputable site?

I don't think LT leaves, but it will be interesting if KS makes a lateral move.

Oklahoma St OC to Florida, even though it says to think otherwise. Only move that makes sense.

I'm not sure why he would consider leaving Alabama, which has its pick of talent nationwide, to go to what is currently a lower-level program in Florida. At best it would be a lateral move, so why do it?

To work with good friend and get out from Saban's shadow.

Kirby and Muschamp played together at UGA and are really good friends.

That's the only reason it would happen

You have to remember Dooley and Lance sort of hooked up at the end of the party. It may or may not be true love.

I think coordinators look to leave Saban as soon as they are established. He has a history of overworking staff and generally being a Richardhead.

How can you figure Florida is lower level than Alabama? Just wondering. Sure, they had a down year, but Alabama didn't exactly set the world on fire this season either.
