If you could assemble a supergroup of musicians to perform a one-time concert, who would it be?

Mine:
John Fogerty - Vocals
Jimi Hendrix - Lead Guitar
Duane Allman - Guitar, Slide Guitar
Paul McCartney - Bass, Vocals
John Bonham - Drums

I would probably set it up something similar to this:

Vocals - Robert Plant
Guitar - Jimmy Paige
Bass - JPJ
Drums - John Bonham

Alternatively, this might work:

Vocals, Guitar, Sitar, Tambourine, etc. - Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison
Drums - Ringo

You had me until Paul McCartney.

There are a lot of bassists to choose from, but I may take Chris Squire from Yes.

I'll do 5 different picks, but probably some of yours would be mine.

David Gilmore - Vocals
Pete Townsend - Guitar
Eric Clapton - Guitar (I'm talking Cream days)
Neil Pert - Drums

I honestly haven't ever paid much attention to bass players.

Would probably sound like crap together, basically my favorites at each instrument:

Robert Plant-Vocals
Stevie Ray Vaughan-Guitar 1a
Jimi Hendrix-Guitar 1b
Les Claypool-Bass 1a
John Entwhistle-Base 1b
Keith Moon-Drums

I'm taking into consideration his vocal and harmonizing abilities as well.

Yeah, I figured. Though Squire obviously doesn't have the voice McCartney does, I would take him for his talent on bass, plus he also did backup vocals in Yes.

Vocals - Johnny Craig (Dance Gavin Dance/Emarosa)
Guitar - Yngve Malmsteen
Guitar - Hendrix
Bass - Chris Squire (Yes)
Drums - Travis Barker (Blink-182)

I picked these guys because they are all very proficient at their instruments, and the groups that they played with often displayed their virtuosity. So, my list's main criteria is talent and ability, nothing to do with fame, within my personal tastes.

For clapton i'd gladly take Derrick and the Dominos style too. That was when he made Layla, and that's one of the most recognizable riffs of all time.

Not really super group but I would have loved to see Elvis Costello and Lennon write songs together.
