If you had to pick 3-5 recruits that are still uncommitted, or we have lost the committment to and is possible to regain that we MUST HAVE to be successful next season who are they? and what do you think are chances are with each, and try to pick realistic prospects.

Suppose it depends on your definition of successful.

at this point I wouldnt mind them getting a re- commit from Nunes
And the other 2 big ones would be:
Mosses
M. Brown

honestly, i doubt there will 3-5 recruits who make a significant impact next year...

Edwin Herbert is one that is kind of on the fence that I think we really need though...to come in and contribute immediately.

also, a QB would be nice since we told Boyd no thanks...

What is the fasination with Boyd?????
I don't get it. Who knew Pat White was going to be THAT good at WVU, Charlie Ward at FSU, Sam Bradford at Ok?????? How many here have SEEN him play in person? just because he is listed #3-#7 in the country, what does that really mean?
kiffin did what he did for a reason.

To answer the question.......
I would like to get Marlon Brown and a QB that kiffin likes!

DT's (big bodies that can disrupt)
Big armed QB
WR's
that are big and can run
OL (that drive off the ball and stay committed to a block)

If what we have already/stays on-board then that is my dream list in that order...

Either Kiffin has a QB we aren't aware of yet, or he's going to use what we have and get one or two next year he really wants. I like the fact he isn't sugar coating the recruits about what he intends to do.

The fascination with Boyd was well deserved, he is a fantastic ball player. I have family in Hampton, and I got a lot of info on the guy. It's too bad he is going somewhere else.

I think despite Warren, we need help at the TE position. Orson Charles is the next Vernon Davis.

Edwin Herbert was a great pick up. But it wouldn't hurt to get another, we are still in the mix with Corey Gaines, that would be nice.

Morgan Moses
Marlon Brown
some QB (AJ McCarron is a SOFT verbal)
and, I'll be happy

I think we'd be fine if it ended the way we have it right now.

I don't think any position at this point is a MUST for instant success. In fact, at this point, I think he might as well go for the big boys because I think we're pretty solid across the board--getting some stars would be nice though :)

more linemen. there are so many athletic, potential playmakers on this team already. they just need to be coached-up in a winning system.

More DL and OL (Moses)... Another playmaking linebacker if that is reasonable, a QB and then Matthews and Brown at receiver.

I just want to throw this out there... Whatever happens this year in recruiting is not Kiffin's deal. No matter how this recruiting class turns out it's not his class. As much as I hated seeing Boyd not apart of our recruiting class, I have to put my trust in Kiffin to go out and get the type of players for his team. I don't care if we are not ranked in the top 30 in recruiting... it's not Kiffin's fault and he should not be held accountable whatsoever. 2010 recruiting class will be his first recruiting class and that is when I'll expect more of Kiffin. This year it's all about getting his name out there around the nation to highschool football coaches and upcoming seniors for the 2010 class.

Kiffin needs to bring in a qb this year. there is no getting around that. we need lineman on both sides of the ball. 1-2 more in the secondary, another lb and a wr or te and that would be a really nice first class to get going.

Kiffin has put the pressure on himself with his handling of the qb's. If Boyd outperforms whoever we end up with, it could get real ugly around knoxville

I do love that hes taking that risk though. i love to see that out of our coach. good luck get that qb and go vols!!!!

They way I see it about the QB situation, if we bring one in and let him redshirt or play he will have a years experience under his belt at the college level. Which means if Kiffin keeps recruiting the way he is we could contend for the SEC title in 2 years. If we take a elite QB next year it may take 2-3 years to compete for one. Kiffin seems to not just to be taking bodies or projects like Fulmer did. He wants everyone on the roster to be a productive member of the team and capable of playing at a high level.

1. Elite Qb
2. Morgan Moses
3. Sam Montgomery

#3 can be filled in with any other highly capable DL out there also

DEF ! Moses, Peter white would be really nice too

M. Brown, we need that fence put up !

Teague: Florida really wants him, and he's got hella speed..

Murry: we needa great QB

one of the top WR's were looking at would be nice, besides Brown.. we need another speed guy WR

Any QB.
Moses.
Jenkins
White or Massie
Montgomery

I really think we need to improve on the offensive line and the front seven more than anything.

Herbert, Moses, Brown

We may not be desperate yet for a QB; Bama went 12-0 with an average QB this yr. I'm hopeing BJ pans out.

uhmm.......i think DT and OL is big issue but i think alot of people are forgetting that we have no big playemakers at WR spot and as for Boyd we screwed up big time letting this kid go....(smaller Vince Young) oh and thats the whole reason he was coming to TN was for the Pro-style offense......hmmmmmm

Moses OL
White OL
Jenkins LB
Campbell DT
Brown WR

Savage or Murray would be 1 of the 5 but would be decoms.

Boyd was a midget. Dont think a kid his size was going to come in and make any kind of impact his freshman year.
Im not too bent about loosing him.
