I noticed that we had a fairly active book recommendation thread and thought it might also be helpful to have one suggesting shows or movies that you really liked.
A few that I have watched recently:

Luther on Netflix..I really like most of the BBC shows. You get to see different settings and this is a well produced one.

Dark Mirror on Netflix..sort of like an MA version of The Twilight Zone. It focuses on the dangers of modern technology. The first one is rather disturbing.

The Ultimate Guide To The Presidents- Netflix I learned a lot about the lessor known Presidents in this History Channel miniseries.

John Adams Netflix-HBOGO I've read that this miniseries may have been too kind to Adams, but I still really enjoyed it. Its taken from the David McCullough biography. All of his stuff is worth reading. He has a book on the Wright Brothers coming out in May.

I like revenge on Netflix.

Supernatural - it's insane. 2 brothers go around the country hunting demons, monsters. Angels, etc. It's really good once the story line gets started. Currently on season 10.

Lost - Very good. A plane crash on a crazy island with lovable characters. The ending was dissapointing, but it is worth the ride. 6 seasons.

Walking Dead - Very good. Zombies and people against the group we follow. Currently on season 5.

I agree on John Adams and on McCullough. I also recommend his book 1776! Six or Eight years ago it was said that HBO was going to do a mini based on it as well but nothing has yet to come of it.
