The Mountain West Conference is now 4-0 in bowl season.

Wyoming over Fresno St 35-28
BYU over Oregon St 44-20
Utah over Cal 37-27
Air Force over Houston 47-20

The MWC has had good bowl seasons the last few years. Last year as a conference they were 6-2 against the PAC 10 (and 2-0 against the SEC).

Time for a playoff, or at the very least allow the MWC to add BSU and become a BCS conference.

The other thing about it is look at the advantage in recruiting they've given the PAC 10 by denying the WAC and the MWC BCS auto-bids. The PAC 10 doesn't even share state borders with another BCS conference. The SEC shares state borders with the Big 12, Big Ten, and shares actual states with the Big East and ACC. The only way a west coast kid can play BCS football close to home is in the PAC 10.

The latest rumor I heard was the MWC was looking to get Boise St., Fresno St. and Nevada, which would get them a championship game and hopefully an automatic BCS Bid

I'm not going to say beating Cal and Oregon State is cause for restructuring the system.

IIRC after next season the BCS will re-determine conference membership. Has anybody else read that?

Anyways, I know Boise has previously toyed with the idea of joining the MWC. If Boise joins and TCU doesn't leave for the Big XII after the Big Ten's expansion, then the MWC will absolutely 100% deserve a BCS bid. Whether or not it happens, though, is a different story. Like JTrain said, even if you do add Boise, Fresno and whoever else to get it to 12 teams, the MWC is still only worth a fraction of the other BCS conferences.

Yeah, the MWC deserves an automatic bid. For that matter, we deserve a playoff, but that's beside the point.

Utah beating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl should've driven away any doubts about the BCS. That, and the fact that three times in the last six years they've sent teams to BCS games.
