Over the past couple of weeks, with the "close" win over UAB, i have saw and heard more VOls fans complain and worry than i can remember. No, im not that old, to tell you the truth, my fascination with the Vols came about the time a local hometown boy by the name of Shuler set our little part of the world on fire for the Big Orange. Now, i know heath didnt have a big pro career, but we where very proud of him. I know that i have been critical of Fulmer and Sanders on this board, even Clausen, all of them, have took a bashing from me. Now, in my defense, i am a fan, short for fanatic...but i love my boys..what i love about tennessee fans, is that, we are a family. anywhere you go, if you see another UT fan, you can sense it, and our program is a source of pride, not just for Tenn, but throughout the south. One of the things that i love about Fulmer, and one of the reasons he wins as the underdog, is he creates this atmosphere of family, us against the world. From what i have been reading, we dont have a chance, Urban Meyer will make his mark in the SEC, Leak will begin his march to the Heisman, and Chad Jackson is the next Jerry Rice. All these things might happen, but i have to believe they will not. You see, the Swamp, isnt as intimidating as Neyland, nor do they have our tradition... they do not have our players, they do not have our coaches, and to my extended family of the Volnation, they do not have our TEAM. GO VOLS
