On campus. They talked for a little and Hopson told him he would score 30 tonight. Obviously, he was motivated. If he could just get that kind of fire in him every game he could be an All-American.

Big words before going up against the powerhouse that is LSU. He played well tonight though, I'll give him that.

Scotty Hop is going to lead us to another Sweet 16 and if hitting his outside shot another Elite 8.

True, but you saw what he could do against Pittsburgh early in the year. It's like when people get down on him he can go off on anyone. He just needs to be more consistent.

If I were coaching this team, Hopson would be required to take the ball to the rack 5 times in the first ten minutes of every game. No penalties on whether or not he finishes the play. Just 5 legit attempts. After a while, an attacking style -- which obviously best suits his skillset -- would become habit.

Who will we get against Ole Miss? Dr. Scotty or Mr. Hopson? I say he reverts back to Mr. Lazy against Ole Miss and we loose.

It's not only Scotty. Several other players seem to lose focus at various times. I know you can't be at 100% all the time, but they should be at 90+% ALL the time. Some say it's the coaching, and maybe CBP has to get in their faces every game like he did for LSU. However, these players, everyone of them, should not have to be told to do this. It should come from within for all them.

If Scotty can hit the outside shots and do a better job of taking care of the ball, the team should do well the rest of the year. I know he has been criticized a lot, and some of it is justified, but he always draws the toughest defender in most games. We really need 1 or 2 more good shooters on the team. Goins is shooting better lately, but Cam is struggling.

I've said this multiple times: It doesn't matter how any one player on the team is performing at a given moment. If Tenn can score more points than their opponent on a nightly basis, then they most likely will win.

I peed next to Scotty Hopson in the UC on game day around lunch time - he pissed for like 45 seconds with a monster stream - and then looked over to me and told me he was going to piss all over the LSU defense tonight.
