I don't expect much out of CBJ next year or really expect him to be the coach who makes us forget about Fulmer. But I do expect him to be the leader Dooley wasnt. I want the players believing in him. I want him to sound like he knows something about football If the defense isn't highly ranked I want him considering firing his DC and not "outscore the opponent" method.
I will give him plenty of time, but I want his mentality to be that he failed miserably if they don't finish over .500 (see Dooley's year zero). And for the sake of all Tennessee fans, never dang lose to Kentucky.

Even with new faces leading the offense I want 6-6. There's no reason this team can't beat UK Auburn and either Vandy or Mizzu. Anyone not named Dooley can do that.

I never said you had to agree only don't say it was a dumb thread (and it was kinda on purpose I knew the reaction i'd get lol)
And also, go 6-6 when you have to play Oregon and not have Bray and co. Had they all returned I say 8 wins is possible. You expect Saban to come in and do much better?

2. You think it's reasonable to give our dc 1 year to take our defense from worst in history to one of the best in the nation?

i think the reason people may be tired of threads like these is that an expectation like this is literally the bare minimum.

it would mean beating the cupcakes on the schedule and nothing else.

that's not very appealing to anyone nor would very many consider it an achievement.

I also expect most of volnation to find something to complain about after every game, no matter if we win or not.
