I just really don't know what to say and I really don't know where to start. As this was unfolding I was less inclined to post because I couldn't add anything that wasn't already being discussed. Before this game I was thinking there is no way they can blow this opportunity like the Butch Jones team that had an opportunity to maybe reach the Sugar Bowl.

We got the dog$hit beat out of us. This may be the most demoralizing loss I've seen for this program since I started following consistently in the late 80's. And I say may be because it's hard to know how I felt during some of those losses, but it is so bad because this South Carolina team has had a tough time walking and chewing gum all season. We have played more explosive offenses and tougher defenses.

This is the worst defensive performance I've ever seen from the UT program when you especially considering the level of the opponent it makes it worse. This defense has been bad all season and even sometimes a little scary but we've seen nothing like this before. They could not make any stops and even when they did they would give up 3rd and 20's. Rattler has been a laughingstock all season.

We will know how bad this was when Clemson beats them soundly next week. I just don't see us coming back from this lost which is probably the worst most shocking result in college football this year. It might take a few years to come back from this. This is one South Carolina can brag about for years relishing off built up equity from this beatdown.

That field was bad. We saw Smalls get hurt going down on the same sod that was filled with sand. Look at the dust flying up around Hooker from the bad sod. That was the final nail in the coffin but the game may have been over before that the way the defense was playing.

When Clemson let West Virginia put up 70 points they fired the defensive coordinator, Kevin Steele. I don't know if we can blame this on Banks, Martinez, or whoever the worst recruiter is on the staff who can't close with decent edge rushers, linebackers or defensive backs but you can not perform like this against a 6-4 team with everything on the line and get the dog $hit kicked out of you and not make some changes.

Let it sink in that we just lost to Beamer ball. This program probably lost closing on some recruits after this embarrassment. I just don't know what to say. Losing to Shane Beamer.

Shows you that if you try and play finesse football and the other side out physicals you on both sides of the line and executes, you’re gonna get the results we got tonight. UT not a good road team. Luckily we had LSU at a noon kick and they took themselves out of the game early.

This game will leave a mark that will resonate longer than this year.

Not hanging the loss on field conditions but I noticed the same thing. Both teams had to play on it, but it was a problem for us for sure.

You gotta admit that was a crappy football field..... there was more sand flying than during a glass blowing competition

I'm blaming it on the orange helmets. Nothing else makes any sense to me.

There’s a rumor about locker room issues. That’s the only other issue I can think of. The defense hasn’t played great all year, but this was downright pathetic. Really starting to believe the locker room thing.

With the games that were played early in the day, I had a bad feeling about our game. I think Hooker was injured in the Georgia game and again in last week's game. He just wasn't himself tonight. I also believe Tillman is playing at only about 75% of his pre injury play. However, neither of those beliefs had that had anything to do with the terrible game our defense played tonight. We couldn't cover or tackle a cardboard cutout standing still in a hallway. Yet, I believed we could still win until we showed we could not score on every possession in the second half. For the first time this year, I saw some of our defensive players not competing through the end of every play, especially the defensive backs. It appeared that many were simply going through the motions. That seldom leads to winning and also is a cause of many injuries. If we don't have an attitude change, we may even lose to Vandy next weekend. I can't believe I said that, but they are a much improved team. I hate to post this but I am so frustrated, I have to get it off my chest.
