2 weeks ago everything was all daisies and roses after an upset of SCjr. Now we're back to "OL sucks" and "Lane > Neal" and who could forget "bad playcalling that's predictable" (forgetting that Dobbs is in there).

Go Volnation.

Just wait until Auburn hangs half a hundred on us. Then you'll really see the weeping and gnashing of teeth around here.

Lane is > neal. Even butch said his reps will increase and our OL did play a horrible game.

Just sayin

If we get blasted and embarrassed by Auburn, then its REALLY time to start questioning who starts, and frankly our coaching staff as well.

The obvious has been stated. That's usually what happens to a mood after two near 30-point blow-outs.

Let's be real, the OL has never been that great.

They've been pretty darn good. Both average rb's are averaging over 5 yards a carry with Worley and a true freshman at QB. I'd say they've had their hands full and done a pretty good job till last week.

People that stay positive after a loss are clueless. After a loss, it's ok to get pissed, throw things, and rant on VN. And after a win, you go back to the positive vibes. This is what 90% of us do.

No ledge UTking! lol Just being my passionate self! The bleeding must stop. I really believe this team can upset Auburn if we come out fired up and play to our capabilities! Would totally erase last weeks debacle.

We have a better chance of winning the SEC East than beating Auburn.

I think a lot of the accolades placed on our OL and their lack of sacks can be attributed to the fact that Bray got rid of the ball quickly.

I've been saying this for a year now. The O-Line isn't bad, but they're not the best in the country by any means - which is what people professed at the beginning of the season.

Not showing adequate progress changes the mood as it should.

Getting the CRAP beat out of us, without even putting up a fight, against Mizzou, is an unacceptable lack of progress.

Losing a reasonably competitive ballgame at Mizzou, would have been understandable.

Our team does not match up well with good offensive teams like Auburn. I suspect we will be beaten handily this weekend.

HOWEVER, it will not be an indictment on the coaching staff. If you look at our record versus what the experts have predicted in Vegas, we have overachieved. That's right, we have won every game in which we've been favored, and then one other in which we were underdogs. We have been significant underdogs in every game we have lost (but, hey, what do those people in Vegas know, right--they only have millions of dollars at stake on their point spreads.).

I will not judge this staff one way or the other until we get into next season. They have not yet had the time to put out the dumpster fire they inherited. And, they won't have time to do so until they have a couple of their own recruiting classes in the fold. Even then, I could see us winning 7 to 8 games next year. But, that might prove to be overly optimistic depending on the strength of the teams we play.

Never understood that argument. A loss is a loss. Particularly with what has been said around here about how superior our talent is and why there's no excuse for losing to Mizzou. The only permissible outcome was a victory with Volnation logic.

I hope your right but Auburn is the wrong type of team for us to be playing. We would probably have a better chance against FSU or Ohio St. JMO

At this point in time a loss is expected, given the recent history of the program. We know it will take time for Butch to start winning with any sort of regularity and in the meantime, it looks and feels good to see us field a competitive team even if we do lose. Getting regularly trounced like UTEP is so far beneath UT that I can't even believe I have to explain this.

Since most predicted for us to finish somewhere around 6-6, why would you start questioning the coaching staff for getting blasted by a top 10 team? Then beat Vandy and KY and we're sitting at 6-6, just like most reasonable people predicted.

Wow - really? Our team is severely depleted with the last 2 coaches we had and our schedule has to be the hardest in the country. Who else has played #1 and #2 as away games?!! Give the coaches a chance to get their players in and do their thing. Even though our record doesn't show it, we are definitely progressing and I think we will definitely improve for the rest of the season and next year. Our offense is totally new at the skilled positions...we had to start a true freshman due to injury...our defense is learning a new scheme. We will get there...just give it a little more time. We have seen glimpses this year. And I see that as a positive for where this program is heading. GO VOLS!!!
