No ledge UTking! lol Just being my passionate self! The bleeding must stop. I really believe this team can upset Auburn if we come out fired up and play to our capabilities! Would totally erase last weeks debacle.

Hope springs eternal ... but ... Auburn is going to kick our azz. Every week the pollyanna Vol fans think we are going to win only to be disappointed. The truth is Tennessee may never return to the greatest of the 90's but if they do it won't be until CBJ has 3 more recruiting classes under his belt. And even that is predicated on CBJ being a great coach and IMO the jury is still out on that too ... winning at Central Michigan and Cincinatti in the old Big East isn't that impressive ... we'll see.

My reaction to watching our O-Line every week:

"Ain't nobody got time for that. Oh, Lord Jesus it's a (dumpster) fahr!"

If we get blasted and embarrassed by Auburn, then its REALLY time to start questioning who starts, and frankly our coaching staff as well.

Start questioning our coaching staff leave a number and coach might call you, if WAR EAGLES kick our azz by 30 look whats coming in, got beat by 30 and got 2 top recruits, if we get beat by 30 again we might get 2 big stud DL.:)Think about it Dobbs making first start against top 10 team on the road and set record for completion and we need to start questioning our coach, now you talking about a damn joke that's really funny im rolling in the damn floor.:post-4-1090547912:

Which sounds better to a player or Tenn fan? Wait till we put 24 points on Auburn to their 7 or Wait till they slap 30+ like the last two teams. Good grief accentuate the positive eliminate the negative.

I have really enjoyed reading some of these "I'm jumping off the cliff" threads...they are absolutely hilarious especially when you make a living reading human nature....some of course are truly disgruntled, some of course, are falling in a predictable hole created by others, and some, of course are agitators....and its infinitely more fun to be surprised with responses than have these predictable rousings...and if you want to really do some research on this....log onto a "pay per view" site....you hardly see this type of hysteria at all....just all interest human interest stuff...

Never understood that argument. A loss is a loss. Particularly with what has been said around here about how superior our talent is and why there's no excuse for losing to Mizzou. The only permissible outcome was a victory with Volnation logic.

People don't realize that while some improvements have been and are being made, and there is potential for futher improvement by the end of the season, this team is still a couple or years from being truly competitive again, let alone being able to take on and beat more than one Top 25 team in a season.

Combine that with the fact that after the Mizzou/USCe game, people here strongly underestimated what Mizzou was capable of, and you get the current state of affairs at VolNation.

If you look at Auburn's schedule they really have beaten one quality team on the road and that is a Texas A&M team without a good defense. They only play 4 road games. Im not sure they are a legitimate top 10 team. Do we beat them. Im not sure. But they are not South Carolina. Missouri or Alabama good in my opinion. Could be closer than you all think. Im not expecting a win. But i do see it as obtainable.
Auburn beat Texas A&M in College Station with help from Penn Wagers!

Pretty much all you said this place was saying about Missouri last week.

And it's hilarious to me how their TAMU win is being so downplayed.

2 weeks ago everything was all daisies and roses after an upset of SCjr. Now we're back to "OL sucks" and "Lane > Neal" and who could forget "bad playcalling that's predictable" (forgetting that Dobbs is in there).

Go Volnation.

DAMN RIGHT, the mood has changed ... we got the Berry twins!!! :loco: :pepper: :machgun:

They deserve praise when they do praise worthy things. They deserve criticism when they flat stink up the field like they did at MU.

On a side note, when will Missouri ever get any credit for the win?

Anyway you're still missing the point. It isn't about whether they deserve any critizism, it's how everyone was saying how good they are now and how Butch got his sig win but now people are saying they suck and not sold on Butch. So which is it? Do they suck or just had a bad game? People just need to make up their minds :banghead2::loco::)

First off not everyone was saying how great things were, there are a few of us on here with sense enough to wait and see a full body of work before declaring success or failure. Secondly anyone saying we were good and that SC was a signature win was clueless. Just because Dooley couldn't beat SC doesn't make it a signature win for any other coach.

Since most predicted for us to finish somewhere around 6-6, why would you start questioning the coaching staff for getting blasted by a top 10 team? Then beat Vandy and KY and we're sitting at 6-6, just like most reasonable people predicted.

We won't beat Vandy. The wheels have come off.

Let's be real, the OL has never been that great.

And watch pretty much all of them all go on to have good NFL careers.... Just sayin'... Seems to be the way things go for us Vol fans since ohhh about 2005.

I didn't say every single Vol fan on Volnation.
Perhaps I'm confused on what a signature win means, or maybe I was mislead by what most people consider it, but beating the Ol Ball Coach who was ranked in the top 15 was pretty special so I wouldn't say "clueless".

Well the sun may not rise tomorrow morning either, but it's likely. The wheels have fallen off. Auburn will destroy us.

They may destroy us, but if they don't I wonder if you will come on here and admit your comment was full retard?

People that stay positive after a loss are clueless. After a loss, it's ok to get pissed, throw things, and rant on VN. And after a win, you go back to the positive vibes. This is what 90% of us do.

I wonder how many fans actually pay attention to the landscape of cfb on a weekly basis.

Two weeks ago we upset SCe and then they turned around and beat Missouri who turned around and whipped us. Does this make us all even or does this just go to show you each week in football is different and anything can happen?

I'm so tired of hearing how great bUTch is when we are making strides and then have to bad games and we are awful again.

Let's see in 5 days when we upset Auburn at home and how drastically the rumblings on volnation are
