Lesson to all CEOs. Pursue profit over politics.

I would say that this is a pretty special case. I think most companies should have some level of political activism, just don't be extraordinary about it and pick your battles wisely.

Why? I've always thought it better to be apolitical when it comes to business.

Don't let your money get mad or have politics.

I mean, I think it's good for business to put up an American flag out front. We can start there.

Definitely agree with the bolded.

I don't consider putting up a flag to be political. I'm fine with donations especially on the local and state level I'm just against being publicly politically active, it opens the business up to trouble.

Some of our posters are just big fans of virtue signaling. Especially from the folks who make their sneakers and stream their shows.

I think we mostly agree, we just disagree about what it means to be political/active. I count donations. I count putting up a flag.

I don't want any company I support to have a level of political activism. I do like companies which are active in their local communities...which could be the same thing as political activism.

But yeah, ole Mike made some colossal bad judgment on which hill to die on.

If he wanted to lead the charge he should have resigned and separated himself from the company.

It's one thing for an owner to have political preferences. It's another for him to go off the deep end while shouting in the megaphone.
