I think BYU goes 12-0 in the regular season. Here's the rest of BYU's schedule.

Utah State W
Central Florida W
Nevada-Reno W
Boise State W
MTSU W
UNLV W
Savannah State W
California W

Miami Beach Bowl vs East Carolina

If they do this what does their path to the playoff look like? Is it impossible?

So there is no path for them at all? Guess I wonder what the playoff is for then. Although I recognize BYU doesn't play anyone. I don't really feel sorry for them but I did think the playoff would give one team like that a chance.

That's why I'm for a 16 team tournament

SOS will get them in the end and I'd think one of the P5 teams with a loss would be given the nod ahead of them even if they do win out.

They are an Indy team so they can and should get a little tougher schedule. I like BYU, but they are pushing for that Notre Dame type of recognition as a viable independent candidate. And they've got a ways to go in proving themselves over the long run.

But if they win out, I think you might see them in the Peach or Cotton Bowl myself...if Texas allows them back in that State of course lol

BYU stupidly signed an agreement to play in the 1st Miami Beach Bowl on April 29th

I stand corrected. I didn't realize they were under agreement to do such a thing.

Is there an escape clause written in to allow them to play in a higher bowl if their record permits it?

I'm not sure but I hope there is. It would be humiliating to be 12-0 and have to play in a early Bowl game.

Grand Vol,during the BYU-Virginia game a coed was holding a sign that said "Bring on Alabama". I thought that was funny. Like GT coach Bobby Dodd said when Tech was 9-0 and the fans were saying "We want Alabama" Dodd said you may want them but I don't.:D

I think an undefeated BYU could get in if there is only 1 or 2 teams either undefeated or have one less.

Is it true all the cheerleaders are sister wives of the coach? Thought I heard that somewhere.

This is why the Big 12 needs to become a real 12 team league again. BYU would be a great addition imo, along with another team of someone's choice, maybe Cincy or UConn.

Too early to predict the playoff. An undefeated team in D1 should certainly have consideration, however a 4 team format will surely create as much turmoil as the BCS did. A quick move to an 8 team playoff would be prudent and fair.

A 16 team tournament like in FCS would be even better:hi:
