Its seems not to many coaches,or any at this point, want to take on the HC job at Ten. So,in my humble pie opinon this should be the working order of thing to end this search.

First-hire Bobby P.--forget waht he done outside of the
game.this guy is a winner on the field and will be our best bet to get back to the top of the SEC.

Second--go after Jim Tressel--don't really like his styel of play, but he is a winner.has 1 NC and has played in a couple more.

Third--you not gonna like this one at all,but probley would be the most likey hire.--Jay Graham for HC.keep Channey as the OC,bring in Dale jones as the DC.keep current offense staff as Jay would be confortable with them, then work on filling out the defense side with the best e can get.

Flame away, but this is my thread and this is how i see it.

Petrino...I can overlook the motorcycle/mistress thing...its the way he has left programs and teams. He is sneaky, not loyal and he will do what is only good for himself. I'm afraid he would up and leave us high and dry at the first chance he has to better himself. Also, there is a reason that he was not in consideration for the 12 or so other openings of late...no one wants him and do we look like more of a fool if we are the ones to take that chance??

Petrino is a loser and scoundrel at heart we dont need him at Tennessee.

I would not mind Jim Treseel. He was just trying to protect his guys i get it.

And Jay Graham..oh excuse me your crack rock must have kicked in.

It's time to get real. We now have a Dooley buyout to pay for and apparently none of these so-called big boosters want to bail out the university for the past mistakes. So people need to forget about Fulmer and retracing the same turf that started the dismantling to begin with.

If nothing else, get Petrino or Tuberville. We need to get someone experienced at this level.

Of the three scenerios that you proposed, I can most agree with the first one. Petrino would be good for the short term. We would end up being similiar to what South carolina is now, which is much better than what we are in now. However; when he leaves, he will cause another dumpster fire.

So, is the three years of success good enough for the dumpster fire that we will have to live with afterwards???

I could live with the Petrino hire as he would instantly improve our wins. However, if hiring him the contract must be worded very carefully and it must protect the university at all costs. If he screws up or leaves out of no where make him pay a stiff penalty.

Second I could definitely live with Butch Jones. He came up and was with one of the best in the game for many years. It's not a sexy fan favorite pick but I believe he would win here.

And Jay Graham? Pass over what your smoking cause clearly it is some good stuff.
