First off, I want to state that I am neither pro nor anti Dooley, I am simply pro winning UT football.

Like most of you on this board, I have lived and breathed Vol football since the day my dad introduced me to this great game, and never in all of the time that I've spent watching our team have I been so embarrassed of what we put out on the field. Did anyone ever imagine that we would be questioning whether we would be beating the UK's and Vandy's in college football? Now I understand what Dooley inherited, and it truly was as great of a mess as everyone understands it to have been, but the simple fact is that in his 3 years at the helm, he has yet to out-coach anyone, and I mean anyone. From Nick Saban at Alabama to the lowest level of competition we've faced, I haven't seen our team schematically be better than one single opponent. Even in recruiting, you can say we're in the race for a couple of top prospects, but in reality what hope is there that we land them? Being able to sell the product of UT football, WINNING UT football isn't how it once was. The clown that is James Franklin and Candy are out recruiting us right now for Christ's sake.

I rooted for Dooley and he had my full support, and I wanted nothing more than for him to restore us to greatness, but after the disaster that we've seen this year it's time for him to go. I don't care if he beats the breaks off of the low lives that are our last four games, that is expected here and anything less than that is unacceptable. Whether you want to believe it or not, to those that support and continue to fund this team, this is OUR program and we DO deserve better.

God bless and Go Big Orange :peace2:

Let me re phrase then. When I say "Dooley Neutral" I mean that I haven't been head hunting since the Florida loss and I wish him well but I think it's in the best interest of both parties if we go our separate ways.

It was not that long. When I read long post, I was thinking another titans&vols4life Why I love dooley and we should keep him in 15,000 words or more.

Dooley must be gone or we need to move to the Sunbelt Conference. MTSU is doing better than us. At least they beat a team they weren't suppose to in Georgia Tech. When people talk about the SEC they talk about the dominate teams in ALA, FL, SC, LSU, GA. They also say that poor Vandy, Ky and Ole Miss have to suffer through the yearly beat downs. Which category do we fit in? The beat downs will not and have not stopped. He is funny, smart, and has a good last name, but that is not enough in the SEC unless you are okay with being who we have become.

First of all, I totally agree that Dooley is being out coached by every opponent we have played in the three seasons that he has been here.
I also remember that Fulmer was out coached by many coaches during his tenior here also.

Secondly, you are not really correct in your statements about recruiting. It was Dooley who convinced Da Rick, Hunter & Stone to all come to U.T.
Had Kiffin remained our coach, neighter of those three would have come to U.T. If my memory serves me well, I think that Cam Clear was a Dooley recruit and also all of the junior college guys.
So, Dooley has been successful in recruiting...but he can't go head to head with the bug boys in the S.E.C.
