Wow, #1 on the end there looks like ol' RS during younger days, including the way he's holding his mouth like a beak.

Yup, that's QBs... 14 doesn't matter, just look out for #15, Curtis Pulley... he's pretty good.

For some reason that picture makes me a little sad.

I know what you mean but at least he landed on his feet (in a big pile called Kentucky, but on his feet). I wish him luck every game except one. He got it hard from the Vol "faithful" and didn't deserve the personal attacks he got.

of course he didnt deserve to be attacked on a personal level, but let's face it, he didnt get the job done. I just dont understand why he would go to UK for a one year gig

At least they don't have far to go...

I wonder how hard it is to switch allegiance from a team you've been with all your adult life. Such is the nature of the game, I guess.

I wonder what he did with all his Vol stuff?

Honestly, I don't think you ever lose it... he's a Vol through and through... he only has to root against us once a year.

I would say that's accurate.

I don't know, y'all.....his wife and kids were crying at the Vanderbilt game, I heard. You can mess with me all you want, but don't touch my husband or my kid. I would be willing to bet that there is a little rancor there.

He might be bitter, but I think he's smart enough to understand that it had to happen.

Maybe against a portion of the fans... who are horrible, horrible people if you ask me (you know who you are). But in the end, the man is an alumni, and as you stated, spent his entire adult life with this team.

I'd have animosity toward those bad eggs... not toward the University, the coaching staff, or the team that I spent so long working with.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I not only went to, but posted at the message board on firerandysanders.com. Didn't say anything brutal about Randy, but some of those people are probably clinically insane. But hey, it led me here.

I don't understand why he had to leave. I KNOW being demoted is humiliating and all that, but surely the fans could have appreciated all he had given Tennessee enough to let the University keep him in a lesser position.

Did you not hear about how kids were treating his kids at school and things of that nature? I wouldn't stay in Knoxville and make my family deal with crap like that.

No, I didn't. What happened? And SHAME on the teachers for letting it go on, whatever it was.

That's cold blooded right there.

I dunno how old his kids are, but let's just imagine for a moment they're in 2nd or 3rd grade. Can you imagine someone picking on you at that age by saying, "Your daddy sucks! The halfback screen on 3rd and 15 never works!"

Evidently some of these kids parents' animosity toward CRS spilt over to their children. It was standard bully type stuff, except instead of making fun of them for having glasses, it had to do with their dad. Sad stuff.

I think there were also reports about people calling the house, and driving by yelling things and such... not positive on that though.

I have called for the firing of Randy Sander myself, many times, but I didn't mean COMPLETELY fire him. I meant put him back coaching the quarterbacks or something.

When football becomes THAT important, it is time to back away from it for a little while.

Sad thing was, I heard about the Fire Randy website during one of the Vols' games...

It had to be the game before South Carolina, because the only week I posted there was leading up to that game.
