I screamed my lungs out and can't talk right now but couldn't be more proud of a team in all my years of watching UT. Fans were chanting "it's great to be a Tennessee vol" on the way back to the car after the game. Never seen that happen before after a loss. We are all behind this team and can see them growing up quickly. We know they're hurting but I cheered them as they ran off the field tonight for their spectacular performance. Tell them to keep their heads up and let's get SC in two weeks. I will be there cheering them on again

They've got two weeks to grow up from this and beat South Carolina.

Yes, that guy was very lucky not to get flagged on that as it was well after the play had been whistled dead and everyone had stopped, etc. Not sure what he was thinking. I guess maybe the refs didn't call it because he held him up and didn't throw him to the ground, but he was lucky.

I was so proud of the effort and heart from the young men. They gave their all for Tennessee that night. I'm also glad they got to experience what it's really like around here at Tennessee. That seemingly extreme display of energy is traditionally the Tennessee normal. Those young men gave us something to be excited about again.

I agree. I have been going to games since 1968 and that is the first time I have ever heard that happen after a loss. It was the North endzone concourse/ramp and it was loud! Also loved how the fans applauded the team as they left the field after the game; not polite applause, but heartfelt applause. Again a first.

The fire, grit, determination, effort, and plays that our coaches and players made Saturday night is contagious. The fans showed just how starved we have been for that kind of effort. I hate losing more than I love winning, but in every way but the final score, we (the program) won Saturday night.

I think the fans will definitely "bring it" against SC.

I loved the Grey's and as long as the kids liked them then that's all that matters. Hope the recruits that came to the game liked them too and the energy from the crowd. Our Vols fought so hard and any Vol fan is proud of that.
