N.Y. Police: Terror Suspects Wanted to 'Commit Jihad' - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

"Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters outside the Bronx temple Thursday that one of the men said, "If Jews were killed in this attack … that would be all right."

Kelly said the men allegedly "wanted to commit Jihad" and were angry about Muslims being killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by U.S. military forces."

Cromitie said he wanted to return to Afghanistan and told the informant about how he'd go to "paradise" if he died a martyr,. He also expressed an interest in doing "something to America," according to the complaint. The following month Cromitie and the informant discussed the organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, a designated foreign terrorist organization based in Pakistan that the informant claimed to be affiliated with.

Funny how CNN failed to mention these quotes other his interest in doing "something to America." They obviously went out of there way not to mention any Muslim connection.

If we wouldn't kill those Muslims that rape, behead, beat, blow up and shoot other people (including muslims) they wouldn't want to rape behead, behead, beat, blow up and shoot westerners. We are obviously the problem here.

Boiling it down to it being those naughty little Muslims is an oversimplification of things. If only life were so simple that ALL Muslims were evil storm troopers, and all Christians were saintly peaceful and loving folk.

I don't think anyone is attempting to say it is all Muslims. I was simply pointing out what I believe to be terrible journalism by CNN when they fail to mention the Muslim connection. When the police commissioner says they made comments stating their intent was to commit jihad, that should be in the article.

It still comes back to the wide ranging support they get from the Muslim community around the world. They are supplied with vast sums of money to conduct their bombings and strikes from around the world. A very large number of Muslims may not be terrorists themselves but a majority of them do support terrorist activities to varying degrees.

The Christian community around the world does not support these kinds of activities as the Muslims do. That is the plain and simple truth. The religion of Islam has a huge problem today, no other religion in the world is as militant and bloodthirsty as Islam is today. In fact all other religions have found a way to transition into the global community we live in today, except for Islam.

"The targeting of any house of prayer in the United States is a threat to all religious groups and all religious leaders have an obligation to speak out publicly against this planned outrage," said a statement from the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish human rights group

I think that was a good shot at the Muslim religious leaders.

agreed. these fanaticals do not play by the same rules as everyone else. The Barackstar is starting to realize this, hence his backing down from some of his promises. The ACLU needs to realize this as well.

So these guys are converted Muslims? Those are the types you have to worry about most when it comes to radicalism it seems....(probably true for a lot of religions, at least from a "devout" sense...problem is what they had in mind to be devout to when they converted, I guess)
