I'm not even going to go back and look at all the pathetic comments throughout the game as those of you who made them are probably going to eat enough crow.

1. Great Defense! Our transition D in the first half was awful, but I felt like the half-court D for the most part was pretty good. Then in the 2nd half, we turned it on even with the refs giving them everything.

2. REFS WERE GARBAGE! I will leave it at that.

3. Hopson and Williams became men today. They truly gave their all for TN. It would've been easy for Scotty to tank after that first half, but he hit his last shot in first half and came out a man possessed in the 2nd half today. Another big game @ UGA that these two need to give us that energy, and we will be 2-2 with 4 games we should win in conference.

4. McBee earned his scholly today. His shot has always looked good but usually left short. Apparently all he needs to do is warm up. He will be a key to this team especially when teams try to go 2-3 against us. Hopefully this game gives him confidence.

5. Fields was great on the D. I would love to see him and Williams both on the floor in certain sets.

6. There is so much more to say, but I'm ready to celebrate before the NFL games. GO VOLS!

i'm really suprised the refs didn't blow that for us at the end. however, 1st half we almost blew it ourselves.

The refs made one bad call and that was when the Vandy player went sliding on the ground 5 feet late in the game. Should've been either a foul or travel, I don't know what all 3 refs were thinking. Other than that, I thought they were fine.

I loved how the Vanderbilt player slid 10 feet across the floor and nothing was called. Refs were marginal at best. GREAT GAME!!!!

No, all comments were deserved for that 1st half performance.

But great second half performance.

Not a big ref whiner, but there was more going on than that. Harris got a big rebound but was pushed out of bounds while in the air, leading to a turnover- no foul. Williams, while going down like a fairie, was getting smacked in the face and pushed in the back all game. One of the blocks of Harris' shot was clearly a foul. They called a "reach in" on Harris when he clearly had his one hand all on ball for multiple seconds before they called a foul when the offensive player started swinging around to shake him loose. Either it was a foul earlier (it wasn't) or it was a jump ball. Couldn't have played out the way it did.

On the flip side, the foul they called on one of Vandy's blocks was silly, there was no contact.

So no, I wouldn't say they were "fine." Not the worst ever, but not fine.

I thought the Vandy call was bad too, but it looked like there was a lot of body contact and that's where the foul was moreso than the block.

We never get calls against vandy. Been that way for many years. CM Newton legacy.

all the first half comments were warranted, although i did think scotty would curl up in a ball and hide after that missed jam but him, williams and the whole team played like men the 2nd half

Great comeback. Problem in the first half was that we couldn't get the ball in the hole--as is usually the case. We were just lucky that Vandy couldn't either in the beginning. Vandy stayed in the game on foul shots in the second half. Scotty, Williams and McBee played well the second half. Tobias made some clutch shots and Goins' 2 FTs were critical.

Watch us beat UConn and lose to LSU or Auburn later. Bruce will coach next week vs UConn since it's nonconference!

You can slide as far as u want with ball on the floor. As long as you don't roll over. But I agree, the travel should of been called bc he had possession of the ball and fell to the floor. Its either a foul or travel.
