in the last 20 years at UT who you wouldn't take right now over what we've seen this year. Jonathan Crompton would be a godsend right now. I'd certainly take Ric Clausen. Jerry Colquitt, BJ Coleman, AJ Suggs, Ainge, Schaeffer, etc. Hell, I'd take Joey Mathews or CJ Leak. Not all the QBs fault and this team has plenty of issues, but I cannot believe what I've seen from the QB position this year at the University of Tennessee - esp. yesterday. It's time to play one or both of the freshman - it CANNOT be any worse.

Is another thread on the subject really necessary? We know we have not found the QB for our team yet. We've tried 2; one was awful and the other is marginal at best, but how will starting yet another negative thread help?

Thank you!

It would be great if Freak would take all the negative threads since 6 pm yesterday and merge them into one giant troll-fest.

Do not throw the towel in on Worley yet, sometimes it takes time to knock Bench rust off. I am by no means a Worley apologists...just making a point of what I saw yesterday.

I'd take 2nd half Worley over Clausen, Coleman, and Crompton when he was a Jr.

I tend to agree. Name a quarterback in the last 20 years who had so few playmakers around him. Sometimes, it is not all about the quarterback. The receivers have to help. With that said, Worley has been throwing behind his receivers quite a bit. .

Is this the worst situation at the QB position that Tennessee has faced in the last 30 years?

Chaney recruited both Worley and Peterman. He must have seen something in those two. I think they are too timid in their effort with no confidence.

Amazing how forgetful people can be. What did Joey Matthews do to make one think he would be an upgrade? Guys like him had a ton of talent around him. Furthermore, why does it matter? What's the point/ The qb situation is not good, we all get it. Let's focus on the fact that they competed and bounced back when they could have lost by 28 or so. Let's also focus on the fact that we will see some much more vulnerable defenses this season. That Florida defense is no slouch.

Worley may have found himself against Fla.
Wishful thinking says he did, regains his confidence in the next game and SC or Ga gives us a chance like fla did.

Peterman to scout team this week. Fergie moves to #2 and sees action in game against S. Bama. Joey Matthews appreciates your support but please? Give me a break. North and Smith both dropped balls, and Worley is a drop back passer playing an option role which is a bad fit. We should be playing pass option spread if we are going to play option. I ilked our 4 wide looks the last 2 drives.

Lol seriously? Our defence kept us in that game...hard to play d with no depth and sucking air..due to a offence who can't pick up a first down....
