Everything is opening back up in the music world, just in time for Summer concerts and series. It has has been excruciating and far too long. I'm sure all the live music fanatics are already lining up multiple shows in the coming months to quench your thirst.

Who do you all have tickets/plans to see?

Mine is gonna be way off from you guys. I like a Christian band Crowder, and they're gonna be close to me in a couple of months. If everything is going good with my wife, I want to take her to see them.

Darius Rucker is coming here (Kingsport, Tn) in July. Thinking about going. Anyone been to his show?

It was supposed to be the tour with the 1 armed and 3 legged drummer (Def Leppard and Motley Crue) in Nashville. Since that got pushed back, we are going back out here to the DFW area to see Skynyrd at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth.

Hopefully, the GnR shows at Wrigley doesn't get postponed but I bet they will...

Might go see Dave Matthews Band in September
Wife surprised 3 of her best friends with tickets and a trip to go see him in Atlanta...or Charlotte I forget. Should be a good tour.

Something with a huge mosh pit where the unclean masses beat each others asses while I watch from the balcony VIP section.

Examples?

Avett Bros
Portugal The Man
Sturgill Simpson
Dawes
My Morning Jacket (playing shows but no where close to me)

I may go to the Moon River festival, its close and has a very good lineup for the $150 a ticket.

Just sucks that most bands just don't really tour anymore they just bounce from festival to festival.

I thought it was already said that most tours wouldn't resume until 2022. Have they changed that now?
Many are now playing this Fall. There is already Bonnaroo, Shaky Knees, and other festivals.

Here in Asheville The Orange Peel opened a new outdoor venue "Rabbit Rabbit" and they have some great shows beginning in September.

While not exactly Oak Ridge, I know Avett is playing 3 nights in Manchester (not Bonnaroo, just the same space) and also here in Asheville.

The others yeah...sucks...I just saw Portugal is set to play Shaky Knees, along with Mac Demarco. Gives me the sads.

I'll be seeing MMJ at Broo, so I am very excited šŸ˜ 2nd time seeing them there, 3rd overall.

Jmo but it's a weird year. I'm guessing many bands are more comfortable locking in to festivals that are less likely to waver and cancel. Too much invested into them.

Also...I think you might actually like Shaky Knees. All rock/jam/indie/americana/blues/blahblah. Stay in a hotel...walk to the grounds...all stages are very close together...great for us old men.
