Anyone want to go for this one?

Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson will each win a race in 2008 before Dale Jr wins a race.

If Jr doesn't win at Daytona, it could be at least half a season. Could Casey Mears even win a race in 2008 before Jr?

I have no idea how Eury Jr is going to take the old 25 car and win races after Daytona.Mears should be finishing in the top ten nearly every week or he should be fired.If Jr doesn't win Daytona,JJ and Gordon will have won multiple races each before Jr wins unless there is
some huge off season effort at Hendrick to get the 88 team caught up with the other 3 cars.

i don't think people realize the 25 car has won something like 3 races since Hendrick created that team. changing a number doesn't change the team.

bonus points for naming those 3 drivers (or finding the exact number of wins for the 25.)

I'm pretty sure all of Schrader's victories (4) came in the #25. Ricky Craven and Wally Dallenbach didn't do anything in it.

Jerry Nadeau won the last race of the year in 2000 at Atlanta.

Joe Nemechek won the Spring race at Richmond in 2003.

Brian Vickers won the Fall race at Talladega in 2006.

Casey Mears won the 600 this year.

Four wins since 1991.

I'm sure they'll put the resources in the 88 car to make it competitive next season. I don't know if this is true or not but I have heard several different times that the 25 car was their test car. If Hendrick came up with a new idea or new piece of equipment they would run it on the 25 before giving it to the 48, 5 and 24. They would try all the crazy set-ups on that car first too. Again, that might be false but I have always heard that and if it is true I have a feeling the 5 car will be getting the experimental set-ups and equipment first as long as the other three guys are in Hendrick uniforms. I bet E and Hendrick discussed this behind close doors and I'm sure Hendrick assured him that he would give him top-notch equipment before he signed with Hendrick.

You'd always hear that about the 5 (when Labonte was driving it, especially later in his career) and the 25 teams; that they were the R&D teams for the 24 and eventually 48.

Of course, you'd only hear it from disgruntled Labonte fans or some people that hated HMS.

Cutting down the driver age of the 5 car by about 30 years seemed to have helped that team out... but I'm sure if you asked a Terry fan they'd say they built better cars for Kyle.
