So far its been really quiet for this year's silly season aside from Harvick moving to SHR. It does look like James Finch is finally getting out of the business though, he will announce who the buyer is for his Phoenix Racing team the 15th.
So who do you think ends up where?
Kurt - If he doesn't get one of the open RCR seats I expect him to stay in the #78
Ryan - Sounds like Quicken Loans will follow him. Could stay at SHR but they would have to expand to four teams. Saw an article a few days ago mentioning him as one of the top guys for RCR and also a potential Penske reunion. Might be a target for the #78 team if Kurt leaves.
Bobby Labonte - Really needs to find a competitive truck ride and hope to become the first NASCAR triple crown guy. If not that, a part-time schedule would be good. I could see him in the #21 if RFR gives Trevor the full time Cup ride.
Mark Martin - I've heard he might run either trucks or NNS for Kyle. As far as Cup plans I'm not sure. Could either get a ride from MWR or JGR on a 4th team. I could also see him as the potential driver of the #21 as well if Trevor leaves.
Vickers - Mikey wants him full-time in the #55 next year, Aaron's doesn't really want him though.
Chase Elliott - Rick wants him running full-time in Nationwide, with Aaron's as a sponsor.
RFR - Wants to expand back to 4 full-time teams in Cup depending on sponsorship. Bayne top candidate.
Austin Dillon - Expects to be full time in Cup next year and yes in the #3 most likely.
Jamie McMurray - Most likely going to re-sign with EGR.
Juan Pablo Montoya - Again most likely going to stay with EGR. Though both drivers better hope they don't want to rush Kyle Larson to Cup or he could take one of their seats.
Aric Almirola - Expect him to be back in the #43
Marcos Ambrose - I really expect him to go, but who fills the seat I'm not sure. I heard he might want to head back home to Australia.
