Being a Jeff Gordon fan, I was happy with his top 5 finish today. But, as a Nascar fan watching the race,I found todays race lacking. With the Hendrick team showing such constant domination all year basically,Nascar is making the race alot less interesting.I just can't believe the Hendrich team hasthe best drivers in Nascar and no one else can catch up or even make a race out of it.

well said' i found it to be a bit boring knowing that Chevy and hms would run away with again and now that they are using the COT there wont be any changes done to the cars in the ford camp and toyotas to get the cars even like in the past were does nascar go with this now. thoughts

Harvick had something for'em before he had that incident in the pits.

Hendrick just has the CoT figured out, moreso than other teams anyway. Other teams will either catch up or continue to be left behind.

That's true! What's happened to Harvick and Kenseth?
Both have done well so far but I expected at least one more win from at least one of them. Even the Dodge products have tappered off. Kasey hasn't had a good year and Ryan Newman has faltered too. He's normally a top 20. His 6h place finish is the best so far this season. Biffle is even struggling and Mark Martin even though on a limited schedule has fallen out of the top 15.
Wonder how the last half of the season will be after the All-Star Challenge? Will Hendrick contiue to lead the way or will some other Chevy drivers pick up the pace?
Dale Jr has even had problems and can't keep up with the two big Hendrick drivers (Jeff and Jimmie). Is it bad luck or the engines that Earnhardt has?

The 2 car has been pretty solid all year. The 12 has been better at the CoT races at least. No idea what's going on with the Evernham cars.

Jr. has had a top 10 (albeit a latter half of the top 10 car for most of the races) at every track except the plate races. Stuff just happens every week it seems. The 2 and 8 have had pretty similar seasons. They've both ran better than the finishes indicate.

The 2 and the 8 will make the Chase despite all their early bad luck, and they will turn things around as the season continues....ppl like McMurray and a few others will fade away

I wouldn't be so quick to pencil the #2 in the Chase just yet. Kurt has got the talent but the Penske equipment is way subpar than the HMS and Roush stable. The races have been getting worse for the past few years. I use to find myself waiting for the race to start, now I check it out in between doing other things..lol...If I want to see Nascar racing I'll watch the truck series.

I feel like Jr.'s crew hurt him yesterday more than they helped him....Him getting spun out didn't help his chances of getting a top 10 either but after they had that sub par pit stop, he never could recover.....He was tough at the beginning of the race too...Jr. will be in the Chase but he's going to have to give his crew a morale speech or something....He can't afford for them to hurt his chances of winning or getting a top 5 like that and as much as they have so far this year

I agree Penske is subpar to HMS, who isnt!? I wouldnt say they are subpar to Rousch, Rousch hasnt proved much this year....Hendrick and the Gibbs boys have the COT figured out

I also agree Jrs crew hurt him, the last pit stop was like 18 seconds? thats not going to win races...and Jeff Green was spinning everyone out yesterday.....

anyone see Newman hit Montoya for like the 3rd time this year

Newman is in for a world of pain once JPM starts collecting on the payback he owes Newman.

i've been rather inpressed with the COT progress Penske has made since Bristol, which was a flipping disaster, especially for Kurt. of course they're not Hendrick or Gibbs level, but who is right now? one thing is for sure, of the Dodge teams, Penske is the best.

the Newman/JPM fued is going to get worse before it gets better.
