Energizing the sport must mean needing more wrecks cuz ratings are down.

They've said this before. I doubt they follow through.

I hope that things change, but I doubt it as well. I watched less last year than I have in 20 years, the sport is just so sanitized and devoid of personality, Perhaps too far gone to come back.

A friend of mine who doesn't like NASCAR said he would watch it if they made whoever qualified 43rd run backwards on the track...

Well guys I am taking the positive outlook for this next season. Getting rid of the wing will help some. I think it had a bit of the effect of winged sprint cars in that it helped drivers save the car where there would have been a wreck. The older style spoiler lets the better driver have the advantage.

If they do drop the yellow line "out of bounds" rule, and let the guys race more aggressively, there can be a significant improvement in the racing. We will see in any case.

To me having someone other than Johnson win the Championship would help a lot.

If nothing else, playing the TOP 5 PICK 'EM should be as fun as always, looking at a tweak or two in those rules too. Any suggestions?

Talladega is my favorite track. Nothing like seeing 40 cars 3 wide rushing by in a tight pack in person.
