I think Jarret should be penalized. It was completely obvious that was intentional. Plus it took someone out(Harvick) that was trying to race into the chase. If Jarret was going to be that blatant about it he shoulda just done it under yellow!! :twocents:

lol.

lets not get carried away. this is nascar. not sissy car.

and this is bristol. not we are all sissys raceway.

bumping and trading paint is racing. the best did it.

yeah he wrecked him pretty hard but this is not a girly sport.

this happens all the time .

what i think is the real travesty here is how all the teams with the money always win. and if u dont have the most money, well u will finish 40th every race.

i say we spread the money out evenly then we will see who the best driver is.

i have always heard the best "pound for pound" driver is robby gordon.

let his new team get some money and experience and he could be a force.

Yes I agree that this is not a sissy sport, and I am all about rubbin & Racin, thats for sure.I love the bump-n-run!! Jarret just shoulda been smarter about his retaliation, and his retaliation was warranted. That was a little extreme. I guess it would not have been such a big deal had it not caught up Harvick, and pretty ruin any chances of him gettin into the Chase.
As far as Robby Gordon-I hate him- He will crash anybody. Most of the other drivers hate to even race around him. He does kick booty in Baja Racin, and I wish he would just go do that and leave NEXTEL cup.
If the other racers were so good they would get rides with these big rides.

I'm glad DJ done it to Newman, he's a prick....He deserved what he got....He can say it wasn't intentional but it sure looked that way....Good job DJ!

Yes, I voted that Newman got what he deserved.

I say leave DJ alone, that's just the way the game is played. Newman started it, and DJ finished it. That's what makes Bristol so great.

:eek:lol: I personally don't want to be on the highway with Robby Gordon. He's a danger to himself and everyone else. Funny, when it was Ernie who was causing wrecks every week the rest of the drivers called him out on it, giving him names like Swervin Irvan, but Robby friggin Gordon gets a free pass. How many "racin deals" can one driver get into?

No offense to DJ fans, I just figured he'd found a better opportunity to get his. He paid Ryan back but finished himself off as well.

DJ was sitting what? i think 11th going into Bristol? Now sits 14th 78 or so points out of the top 10. Harvick lost atleast 2 spots and probably sealed his fate for the "race". Its no big secret Harvick wants out of the #29 and RCR asap, He was mad yes, But mostly because he felt like the car was junk way before being involved.

Seems what goes around in NASCAR comes around! :nono: Anyway, I agree that NASCAR is not a sissy sport, it's for the PRO's. Sometimes these people don't act like they are PRO's. Everyone seems to have a boiling point somewhere and when they get involved in something always want to retaliate. Is that always the right thing to do?
I like DJ even though he's not my favorite driver. I'd have thought he was a better individual than that, but one never knows. :shakehead:

Bristol is not the place to be giving paybacks because it's almost guaranteed that you will take an innocent bystander out in the process. I don't blame DJ for wanting to get Newman back, but it should have been done at a later date and at a different track.

True, Richmond or Martinsville are better spots for getting a payback. North Wilkesboro was even better.

Speaking of North Wilkesboro, I wish they would race there again and get rid of a race at a track like Pocono, which is VERY boring. :snoring:

OMG Pocono is like watching a 200 laps funeral procession. I wish they would dump Pocono and the two road courses, and bring back Wilkesboro and Rockingham. They also need to put the Southern 500 back on Labor Day weekend where it belongs.

I agree! I'm not a big fan of the road courses either.
