I thought they shut it down

The Mayor has tried but too much public support..He did however get the schedule limited to 7 weekends and required more quiet mufflers..Went out there Saturday and there was a great car count for just a practice day..Track says already over 200 cars registered..Can't wait to get the season started!!!

Weak. If you move in near a race track, you should know better than to expect quiet all the time.

Exactly. They should have no say so whatsoever. Don't like it, get a better job, and move away. That track was there before any of the houses. That's a fact.

I used to go every weekend. Had a friend that raced LMSC there. He was dominant every weekend.

Hope you were able to come out last night..It was AWESOME..I haven't seen that track so alive in years..The stands were packed with 10,000 plus, had some great racin', and did it all by the "Mayor-imposed" noise deadline of 10:30 PM..The Hall Of Fame Ceremonies were outstanding and really made me realize just how many great folks have been associated with the track over the last few decades..The 100 lap Super Late Model was unreal..What a night!!!

I didn't go. I will go next time they race. Wish my friend still raced there, cause everyone was racing for second when he ran. I remember watching from the power station across from the track when I was 16, I used to have a job at midstate automotive over there when I was co-oping in highschool, and I could hear the cars as they practiced. I ended up losing that job because I would mysteriously end up sick whenever I heard them. That track is what got me into auto racing. I would be devastated if they ever tore it down.
