Live from Music Row, Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed Nashville mayoral candidate Jim Gingrich in studio to confirm his stances on the discriminatory legislation of gender dysphoria and minor children genital mutilation passed by the Tennessee General Assembly as extremist and discriminative.

She may not win but we are not all leftist ideologues. You have to stand up for your values. Minorities are being duped by the democrat party. I know Fran, and I know the person that beat her for school board reelection very well.

Fran has a lot of substance and is willing to stand alone on issues.

A strong conservative.

Natisha Brooks enters race for Nashville mayor

  • Brooks, a former educator, said she would prioritize increased funding and resources for mental health as well as a larger police force.
  • Brooks previously campaigned to represent Tennessee's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives but lost in the August 2022 Republican primary.

I know of her. I’ve heard her interviewed on 98.3 in the mornings and I like her. No way Nashville would elect her mayor.

Absolutely not. Her or Natisha Brooks but that's not stopping them. They see the issues with the democrat party. Fran is for school choice and she wanted to keep the schools open during covid. The establishment got pi$$ed at her.

The Metro style government saved Nashville, had they not adopted the Metro government Nashville would be no different than Memphis.

Short term win for Nashville, long term loss for Davidson county.

Wrong again. Look at Shelby county and tell us what benefit they have gotten from keeping separate city/county governments?

Tell us what benefits Memphis has derived from a consolidated government. The schools are more fd up than they have ever been. Crime is worse than its ever been.

it shows that government, no matter how it's run, isn't the answer. most of these large city schools are in an abyss and continue to spiral. If you're a teacher in those city schools, it has to be maddening to care.

I don't see why he has to deny it. He admitted to being one in his explanation of whether he is or not. Besides ,it's not that big of a deal. At this point, most people in this country weren't born in the same city or town that they currently live in. Although, it is fun to joke about carpet-baggers.
