Probably just a case of lines not jelling yet. Give 'em a few games and if they've got anything for the rest of the league, it'll come together.
I didn't see your game so I'm wondering...hows your net-minder? Weak or just bad D by the supporting cast?

Who did the Preds pick up in the off-season that you expect to make a difference?

The 'Canes didn't look all that impressive in their opener either, although it went to a shootout. Too many penalties. Hard to mount any sustained offensive pressure when you're short-handed half the time. Just have to hope Cam Ward can do the job in goal this year.

Losing Recchi and Weight is gonna hurt us, I'm afraid.

I was at the game last night and I will say Vokoun did not look good at all but in his defense a few of those shots no goalie would have stopped. The biggest problem would have been just sloppy passing, two or three times we had a sloppy pass by a defender that was picked up and brought up the ice for a two on one or even one on none breakaway. So with the young defenders I think they will improve with time.

And as for the new guys Dumont looked good and actually scored within the first minute of the game. Arnott was alright. And I was impressed with Vasicek he was physical down low and brings alot to the table. But the most impressive was the new Blackhawks acquisitions. Havlat will have a BIG year.
