A buddy of mine is on the team and said he thinks under Butch Jones he's pretty sure Worley won't see the field. Said Peterman fits the mold much better. But what I found interesting is he said Peterman's 40 is actually surprisingly slow. Like slower than Bray's. He said it's a huge misconception that Peterman is fast, said Peterman is a "Power, hit you head on and mow over you" type runner. Has anyone else heard this? I was under the impression he's fast as well.

I have a feeling that Peterman is slightly faster than a sloth.

There's no way he's slower than Bray. Watch his HS highlights.

He's not exactly fast, but he's definitely not slow.

Jones recruited Peterman to UC, because he felt he was a good fit for his offense.

This. Watch the videos on him. Fast enough, like Murray, to get the job done when it needs to happen.

I've heard that Peterman can move...again not well but to me that doesn't matter. Colin Klein wasn't a real "runner" but he was mobile enough to be productive. I think it just means in the recruiting process it's that much more important that we snag a big time running back or two because the personnel that we currently have are not a seamless fit in BJ's system. He uses the "spread" (or whatever you want to call it) and his is one that relies more on a productive run game so we are going to have to target those type of RB's in recruiting. I think for my taste as long as Peterman doesn't make a critical error then I'm ok with whomever BJ goes with (or whomever might win the job). I think Peterman is smart and has a pretty good arm---mobility is fine enough--he's no burner but you aren't going to necessarily need that for this type of offense. I think it's all decision making skills and not "speed" because the QB's that we have now might not necessarily be that fast.

I watched a lot of his high school tape, and I never saw Peterman run unless it was absolutely necessary. It was always pass first. He was bigger than a lot of people he played against. That won't be the case in college.

If Coach Jones needs someone who can move, wonder when he will offer Woulard? The is almost saying he will commit if he gets an offer?

Ive seen some of his highlights. To call him slower than Bray is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. He might not be a 4.4 guy but he definately moves pretty well. I'd agree he's more of a power back but for sure the most mobile qb we have right now

He is adequate for escaping the rush, and good at throwing while rolling out. He will buy some time waiting for a receiver to get open. He reminds me a little of Heath Shuler. I think that he will be fine. If you are looking for Johnny Manziel, he isn't on our roster currently.

Riley Ferguson looks similar to Peterman. Worley worked from the shotgun in high school, and threw a lot of quick passes after a short drop back. Looking at their films , they all throw the ball adequately. I think that all 3 could be good, depending upon how they are used. They don't have Bray's arm, but who does? However, Bray is not a complete qb now. Whether he ever becomes one is up to him.

You need a QB who can run the offense and get the ball to a play maker. It is a plus if he can run when needed, but a burner is not required. In fact, some of the burners tend to run when they should pass (Vick) and get injured a lot.

I hope the next QB can improve on Bray's lack of intelligence to read defenses in order to enhance the running game.

He would be an idiot to set out to have a Mike Vick in the sec. Dude WILL get his !$$ kicked. Few yards in the open field will work ,but KS and ND that won't last here.
