Nation's top QB narrows choice to Notre Dame and ....Vanderbilt

Well those are not bad schools at all for him to go to...It seems he is more worried about his education....I think he will do great wherever he goes.....Kinda scary that Franklin has this guy almost in his clutches.......At Vanderbilt...

Why do I get the feeling that his college career will be less than spectacular when all is said and done..

Both great academic schools. Cutler seemed to do well for himself at Vandy. ND has had multiple QBs taken early in the draft. It'll work out for him if he has the talent, regardless of which school he attends

he's not the top QB - edit: let me be more clear - regardless of his ranking he isn't going to turn out to be close to the #1 QB for this class.. one of the more overrated recruits in this class imo.

If he wants any national coverage the next few years to build his resume he better stay out of Nashville. ESPN highlights will be few and far between with the Commonwhores.

If RG3 can do it at Baylor then anything is possible. ESPN has five channels now.

He will play sooner at Vandy. Rogers only has one more year left. ND has About 3 top over rated QB's. Cutler and Rogers could sell Vandy. SEC > rest.

Have you seen the QB issues they have had? Rees is up and down with a tendency to stare down receivers. Crist is gone. This guy could almost start as a freshman.

Only a rumor so Im gonna get crucified on here, but I read on another board that Kiel called Franklin to let him know he's going to ND.

I bet people would be higher on this guy on this board if he were considering UT and not Vandy

He actually started either very high on UT or with them in the lead mainly due to how much he liked Manning.

Kind of dropped off over time due to a combination of things, mainly concern for playing time (with Bray still there, as well as Worley and maybe the next guy also) as well as a bunch of offers from other schools.

As for the rest originally committed to Indiana before the season started where his brother was (he really liked the program and school at the time), however once they dropped from being a near-bowl eligible team to a 1 win team that lost to Ball St, he opened up his search again and Notre Dame seemed to grab his eye

...pretty much best summary I can give

Any of the guys who heavily follow recruiting, feel free to correct me if I've gotten anything wrong here

Lots of security for nd starting qbs. They know they can suck something fierce and still get media love and good draft stock.
