Wrong.
He is at a private school.NC public school athletes can not profit from NIL.
Tennessee 5-star QB recruit Faizon Brandon's mom sues North Carolina over NIL | Report
The mother of Tennessee recruit Faizon Brandon, a 5-star QB, has filed suit against the state of North Carolina over NIL restrictions, ESPN reports.www.knoxnews.com
PDS is an independent school. There's a conference of independent schools in North Georgia and North Carolina that play each other, so they're not under NCHSAA regulation. The conference has teams like PDS, Charlotte Christian, and Rabun-GapHe is allowed to have NIL and sell his merch because he attends a private school. Brandon goes to public school.
Ethan Davis makes me wonder how good this offense hasn’t been…
As explosive as it is, what if the offense truly becomes unstoppable?
What if we could put 50 points on not just Kentucky but Georgia too??
Negative recruiting tactics had two recurring refrains: “It’s the SPREAD and the running game is practically non-existent.” and “Heupel doesn’t utilize the TE in his offense.” Stats dating back to his Mizzou OC days refuted the former and the fact that Heupel manufactured a TE role for a player with no previous position (Princeton Fant) obliterated the other. As has been pointed out by everyone DEPTH and talent has been the only limiting factor for TEs in this scheme. Now you see a glimpse of the working rotation with Davis, Kitselman and Staes. Next year Davis, Kitselman and Cole Harrison with Brame and Dorselaer giving glimpses and in there with top recruits in the foreseeable future…it’s a plan! The TE has been under utilized in the past because of lack of athlete there. We had good athletes but not great ones. However, our Saturday TE success was due to the 335 defense and the strategy to prevent pass plays to the WR.
This is why Sampson and the TE had phenomenal games. The LB was constantly in conflict.

Didn't know the state separated the two. Thanks for the clarification.
UnbelievableSome private schools are NCHSAA members, others are NCISAA. Most are NCISAA. Charlotte Catholic and Cardinal Gibbons are with the public schools in NCHSAA.
IIRC, NCHSAA and NCISAA both approved NIL policies for their member schools. However, state lawmakers overruled the changes for NCHSAA and gave most of the association's power to the state board and superintendent.
Remember this other negative recruiting classic that somehow found voice even among some (unthinking) Vols fans. "You can never have a good defense if you run this offense." No matter how many times we explained that the defense is in charge of getting the defense off the field. Look at us now.Negative recruiting tactics had two recurring refrains: “It’s the SPREAD and the running game is practically non-existent.” and “Heupel doesn’t utilize the TE in his offense.” Stats dating back to his Mizzou OC days refuted the former and the fact that Heupel manufactured a TE role for a player with no previous position (Princeton Fant) obliterated the other. I'm pretty sure Kitselman will be out of eligibility, but Staes will likely be back.Negative recruiting tactics had two recurring refrains: “It’s the SPREAD and the running game is practically non-existent.” and “Heupel doesn’t utilize the TE in his offense.” Stats dating back to his Mizzou OC days refuted the former and the fact that Heupel manufactured a TE role for a player with no previous position (Princeton Fant) obliterated the other. He only played in 3 games at Hutchinson in 2021, which would qualify as a redshirt, I'd think. Then his rFR year at Bama in 22, rSO at Bama in 23, and rJR at Tennessee in 24.I'm pretty sure Kitselman will be out of eligibility, but Staes will likely be back.
Hope you’re right as he came in as the least heralded of the 3 TE’s and to date has been the most productive. He only played in 3 games at Hutchinson in 2021, which would qualify as a redshirt, I'd think. Then his rFR year at Bama in 22, rSO at Bama in 23, and rJR at Tennessee in 24.
In theory, he should still have a rSR season to play in 25 if he so chooses.
Prior to the season, I remember hearing that he could petition for another year and likely get it. But it's not automatic. That was on either the 247 podcast or the VQ podcast. He only played in 3 games at Hutchinson in 2021, which would qualify as a redshirt, I'd think. Good recruiting tool for us.Meant Staes. Even if he had another season, Kitselman has played himself into some NFL conversations. Mebbe it only ends up UDFA/practice squad, but that’s MILES ahead of how he was regarded.
