Saw that. It happened 2 hours ago, weird there is no real smoke yet. Talented QB who just hasn’t been ranked yet? Or PWO? I don’t have time to dig it up at the moment

McDermott threw for 2,367 yards, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions during his junior season, completing 67.3 percent of his passes. He also rushed for 260 yards and three touchdowns on 77 carries, averaging 3.4 yards per carry.

Allen Trieu, a 247Sports recruiting analyst, referred to McDermott as one of the top quarterbacks at the Carolina eXperience Prep Football Showcase in August.

"Sully was very accomplished at this event, displaying down-the-field accuracy on the deep ball, great timing and tempo on the quick game and the ability to move well during the bag drills," Trieu wrote at the time. "We expect to see this kid playing on Saturdays in the near future."

Like this pickup a lot for depth and competition. Smart kid who is coming in with a chip on his shoulder. I heard he would have had a lot of G5 level offers if not for the season/camps being shuttered from COVID.

Anthony Boone, former Duke QB he trains with, has positive things to say about him in this clip:

I played baseball in high school with Anthony Boone and went to Marvin Ridge for one year. Same high school as Vinnie Sunseri.

Watched a few minutes of his HUDL film, looks sorta like Kyle Trask with his decisions and confidence he can fit the ball in a tight window. And doesn't lock in on his favorite receiver.

Seems Like the kid has the measurables and enough athleticism. Why no offers? Did he not workout at the recruiting camps? Small high school? Low A division competition? It just surprises me that with accessibility this day and age that someone didn’t offer him at the FBS level and I don’t know much about recruiting and would like to enlighten myself.
