I have more evidence that SEC/NCAA schools cheat than a barn cat has fleas. I'll bet you do too. The issue isn't if cheating occurs but why isn't the NCAA proactive on this well known scandal?

At what point, $$$ or player profile (Cam Newton vs Paul Pinebutt) does the NCAA become proactive? Why do some programs seemingly possess a perpetual "Get Out Of Jail Free" card?

Why? Why? Why?

Personal stories and anecdotes welcomed.

Each institution would have to have a Susan Martin like mole to expose the cheaters and make sure they are tarred and feathered. Most SEC schools are not blessed with such an asset.

OMG Alabama cheats so hard. Also Kentucky in basketball.

Basically every team that's better than us, really.

Soon conspiracy theories will abound with the complexity of an Oliver Stone extravaganza.

To say that impermissible benefits is a common occurrence among the major NCAA di sports is a huge understatement. The NCAA has absolutely no grip on it, and there's virtually no way to control it.

It's all about the money now, the NCAA will never really hit another major school. What they did to Penn State was grandstanding.

I'm guessing your evidence consists only of personal stories and anecdotes.

Here's mine: one time, Alabama decided to spend a lot of money on a quality head football coach; Tennessee decided to try to win on the cheap. Alabama won a lot of ****ing titles; Tennessee won none. Something fishy is going on...

USC got it pretty bad - Ohio St lost a NC shot last season

The buckeyes made it worse then it had to be. Not taking the sugar bowl medicine made it easier to criticize the e-mail investigation that soon followed. Having the insatiable appetite to go bowling in the Gator bowl loss, cost them an opportunity to qualify for the big dance. At this point you have to wonder what the buckeye hierarchy got right.

USC was allowed to circumvent a lot of their penalty with creative back counting but yes that is the harshest penalty (for rules infractions)that has been issued to a major program in years.

OH State just missed out on another chance to be embarrassed in a NC game. But as said earlier, they brought that onto themselves and the penalty should have been along the lines of what USC received.
