The NCAA’s Division I Baseball Committee has just announced the preliminary-round host sites for the upcoming baseball championship.
According to the NCAA, of the 20 sites selected, 16 will host regional-round games.
Due to the health and safety protocols surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, it was deemed necessary to conduct NCAA championship competition at predetermined sites. Of the 20 selected sites, the committee will choose 16 to host regional-round games. Eight of those 16 regional sites will host super regionals.

The NCAA also announced the final 16 predetermined sites will be revealed at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time Sunday, May 30.
Here are the SEC sites that were selected:
  • Arkansas
  • Florida
  • Ole Miss
  • Mississippi State
  • South Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Vanderbilt
Here are the other sites that were selected:
  • Arizona
  • Oregon
  • Pittsburgh
  • Charlotte
  • East Carolina
  • Southern Mississippi
  • Stanford
  • Gonzaga
  • TCU
  • Louisiana Tech
  • Texas
  • Notre Dame
  • Texas Tech

South Carolina is included in case they have a strong final 2 weekends. If they do- unfortunately; they'll get to host. Right now, they are not a Super-16

I see bitching that more ACC teams are not listed. IMHO, they have 2 more than they deserve in Notre Dame and Pitt. Notre Dame would need to:

(1) Lose their final 4-games;
(2) Go 1 and 'cue in the tourney
(3) be arrested for possession of poodle pornography

for the NCAA to cut them for the list. They are the NCAA's Great White Hype. A team that would go .500 in a normal ACC season and under .500 in every SEC season.

Gonzaga is fascinating choice. Charlotte 49ers using minor league stadium for their bid.

Has there been talk of adding more lights at LNS for post season play. I recall that was an alleged issue before.
