If Duke doesn't win the championship then the season will be a failure for them. This is easily Duke's best team since 2001.

The selection committee IMO showed some serious homerism and gave Duke by FAR the easiest path to the title game.

Duke wasn't that good last year. They had no competition up until the WVU game.

Duke did have an easier path last year, but they took care of business. Baylor was no push over, they were a nightmare matchup for Duke. West Virginia may have been the toughest team they played at that point, but they absolutely dominated them. The same WVU squad beat UK rather easily.

WVU couldn't miss from 3. I would take UK in that matchup 95% of the time. But props to Duke, they got the job done when we didn't.

They really did, but most people don't think about how the other paths didn't really end up as planned. Kansas lost to a 9 seed and Syracuse lost to a 5...and Michigan State's path to the FF was every bit as easy as Duke's was.

Not to mention we went 0-29 behind the arc before hitting a couple in the last minutes. Otherwise, I think the tournament looks a little different than it turned out.

We might actually have a title to be taken away in the next year or so instead of an elite 8.

But, as we discussed during the tournament and going along with the Duke homer love in the bracket seeding, WVU and UK should have never been in the same bracket in the first place. The NCAA just had to have Huggins and Calipari in the same bracket so that both of their bastard children couldn't reach the final four.

Duke played defense and was good, but not national championship-good. They're better this year than last, though.

Duke really shouldn't lose a game this year. I know they will, but they are going to be that good. They need to take advantage of having Kyrie Irving for the one year he will be here in Durham. Very good chance that he is a top 3 pick next year.

Duke had a really good team in 05' with all-americans JJ Redick and Sheldon Williams, with sean dockery, demarcus nelson, and lee melchioni

but damn tyrus thomas and glenn davis went to town on us in the elite 8
