NCAA change in Red shirt for bowls

I am have missed this, but I haven't seen any discussion.

I understand this is a reaction to portal effects on bowl rosters.

"NCAA has issued a one-time blanket waiver, in FBS football, to exempt postseason participation from the limit of 4 contests a student-athlete may participate in w/o using a season of competition. The blanket waiver is applicable to FBS postseason gms that occur after Dec 15, 2022"

They should allow EEs to play in the bowl game without it counting against eligibility. Great experience for a youngster that’s worked hard to start early.
