The NCAA will not allow Mike Williams to return to USC for his junior season

I'm kinda suprised...

Williams I feel bad for, because he made his move off of the court's opinion. I guess he'll have to work out on his own for another year or so.

He probably would have had an easier time had he not signed with an agent, therefore becoming a professional. The precedent had already been set that if you declare for the draft, but don't sign with an agent, change your mind and appeal to the NCAA, the penalty is usually 3 or 4 games missed.

This is probably the best thing that could have happened to Williams. He wasn't going to help his draft status much by playing another year and now he won't be risking injury.

In the meantime, I'm sure his agent will give him pretty much whatever he wants in anticipation of the 1st round money that is sure to come his way next April at the '05 NFL draft
