This is a "water is wet" article, but it is a good read. Pat Forde calling a spade a spade here. Rick Barnes weighs in, a lot about Bruce Pearl and Will Wade.

TLDR version: Since the 2017 Basketball bribing scandal involving Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and South Carolina teams have only been emboldened to cheat further and more blatantly. The SEC and NCAA have no teeth and can't/won't enforce rules. It's better to lawyer up and dare the NCAA to come after you. The reward from cheating is greater than the possible results from getting caught. Everything about compliance and protecting schools that aren't cheating is just public lip service.

Good read. Still do not understand how that DBag Wade has a job. But you know Calipari is loving the fact all the attention is being directed outside of Lexington.

The most amazing thing about the Wade situation, IMO, is how he kept his job after essentially LSU (his employer) to F off when they asked him questions about what happened.

It's unbelievable that any employer, even if you're a big time basketball coach at a university, would tolerate that.

LSU still has not accomplished much even when they cheat. 1 sweet 16 with Wade in 2018-19.

They aren't a big basketball school though, and he turned them around pretty quickly. I just can't believe that they tolerated his total lack of cooperation in the internal investigation.

I tend to look a tourney success when in comes to college hoops. He is a good regular season coach.

Wade's only had the opportunity to play in 2 postseasons so far at LSU. He took over a bad program and missed the tournament in the first one, then made the Sweet Sixteen in the next one, losing to a Michigan St team that went all the way to the Final Four. That's not bad, especially at LSU.

How do you criticize the SEC when you let Miami and UNC off the hook completely? The NCAA set up precedent in this situation several years ago.
But how can you really consider any SEC champion to be legitimate when the SEC has let Kentucky and Alabama cheat for so many years?

Wade lawyered up against the NCAA AND his own school. The NCAA isn't the only toothless organization. He also still has strong fan support behind him.

Baylor football has been under the microscope for four years now and still nothing but crickets from the NCAA. They keep passing the case from committee to committee and still can't find anything.

Try to recruit, on the up and up, with that BS hanging over your head. They need to find something and prove it or stfu.

Tiger Droppings thinks that their all-time alumni team could beat any other schools all-time team not named UNC or UCLA. They are probably right or at least they have a leg to stand on.
