Has been rumored for awhile...
What we know for a fact is that State has had an ongoing "inquiry" with the NCAA since Feb regarding "recruiting irregularities" and the investigation is about to wrap up. So, it's been known for months with our staff/compliance dept as well as the NCAA. We also know that Will Redmond is still practicing with the team, so it is pretty clear that we aren't dealing with allegations that are very major in nature...
What we are "hearing" is that it makes current news because of BD squealing to the NCAA on everything he knows. As such, there are current inquiries going to alot of different institutions. The reason the MSU story is the headliner is because it is the one that is into the actual investigation phase, while the rest are still in infancy(inquiry).
How this ties to Mirando resigning, who knows... the timing is suspect, as well as the fact that Tn was his recruiting area. Should all become clear in the coming weeks. Honestly expecting a resolution by the end of the month...
