NCAA Tournament cancelled

Not happening

Yeah. It was a fun (albeit unrealistic) thought for basketball and struck me as a realistic possibility for baseball/softball, but I'm assuming that allowing all seniors to return and treating the season as if it never occurred would create a logistical nightmare vis-Ă -vis scholarships and incoming freshmen.

Wow...this has been one of the strangest seasons on record. Weirdness from stem to stern.

I bet it would've been a treat to watch it all unfold given all the uncertainty and no clear-cut frontrunners. And to think we'll never know now...

Our chances to have made the field of 68 will now live on in potential forever...kinda like Schrodinger's cat. We'll never know, alive or dead, since we never got a chance to open the box. (Though the buzzards sure were circling).

Disappointing since March Madness is one of my favorite sports events but it's a prudent move.

The buzzards had already feasted and nothing was left but the carcass

Hate it for ETSU. Best regular season ever. 30 wins. And that's it. Seems like they could've waited a little longer before deciding to cancel it
They should honestly give every undefeated team a NC trophy

Edit: I guess there aren’t any undefeated teams this year 🤷🏼‍♂️

If it's any consolation, there's a chance the Lady Vols would have missed the tournament for the first time ever. Also means Geno won't win another.

On the men's side, means Rick didn't miss the tourney this year, which can also be spun as a positive

You serious?

Lady Vols 21-10, 10-6 in the best conference, zero bad losses.....they were in.

and Geno wasn’t winning crap this year. SC or Oregon most likely winner.

It would actually be very easy. You just create a one-time exception for seniors who want to return for 1 more year and allow teams to carry scholarship players up to the normal limit plus the amount of seniors they rostered the prior year. All seniors plus this year's juniors would be gone before the 2021 class arrives, so it hurts no one except possibly the playing time of some incoming freshmen.
