Yeah. It was a fun (albeit unrealistic) thought for basketball and struck me as a realistic possibility for baseball/softball, but I'm assuming that allowing all seniors to return and treating the season as if it never occurred would create a logistical nightmare vis-à-vis scholarships and incoming freshmen.

Lady Vols 21-10, 10-6 in the best conference, zero bad losses.....they were in.

It would actually be very easy. You just create a one-time exception for seniors who want to return for 1 more year and allow teams to carry scholarship players up to the normal limit plus the amount of seniors they rostered the prior year. All seniors plus this year's juniors would be gone before the 2021 class arrives, so it hurts no one except possibly the playing time of some incoming freshmen.
