someone told me they already make more money on the tourney than the rest of the season combined anyway. not sure if that is bs or not.

Yeah, just organize a 312 team, 5-game elimination tournament that runs for 4 months with games in the middle of the day.

How embarrassing is it if you still miss the field. And do we get complaints from numbers 97, 98, 99… saying that they deserved to make the cut?

The only ones I have heard to come out in favor of this are coaches. I can only assume it is to cover their own butts and give added security. Don't have to worry about getting heat for being a mediocre high-major program. You'll make the field with 17 or 18 wins.

The more I read this, the more I am against it. Why don't they have four play-in games to determine the 16 seeds for each region.

Seeds 2 through 4 having a bye? That's a joke.
