Need More Points IMO

I love winning, don't get me wrong...but with polls,playoff committee, etc. we need to blow out teams when we have the opportunity.

I didn't really watch the other SEC teams, but how do these teams put up so many points? It would be nice if we can put at least 40 points against a team.

I don't expect that at Oklahoma or SEC play (unless it's KY or Vandy) but that should be our goal for Chattanooga.

At the end of the day we just need more points then the other team, if we do that then we will be just fine

we arent going to 4 team playoff,we just need more than the other team 6 times minimum... 2015(realistically 2016) is when we get style points...

I wish there was at least a 24 hour limit after the drinking stops before some post could be made.

So we shouldn't even try to make it to the playoff this year? There should never be a set number of wins for UT during the season unless it's 12. As fans, we know that the possibilities are gonna be there to lose, but setting expectations at 6 wins should never happen. The chance of this university making a strong run is always possible every single year.

A rule like this would certainly have saved me some trouble in the past. Freak should come up with a breathalyzer that you must blow into before logging in.

I need more money and top-shelf pharmaceuticals (I assume that, with the former, the latter should be easy).

Dude if we go undefeated (not gonna happen), that would mean we would've beaten Oklahoma, UGA, Bama, and Ole Miss. Four teams currently in the top 15, plus another top 15 team (most likely) in the SECCG. Worrying about how many points we score against Arky St. when you have a resume like that is silly.

You would rather CBJ set a goal that absolutely every person in the program knows is unreachable? I would rather he give them a goal that they can work their butts off and reach, and learn that winners reach the goals they set.

2013 Arkansas State:

vs Auburn: 38-9

vs Missouri: 41-19

Both Auburn and Missouri won their division, one played for the national championship.

vs UT (2014): 34-19 *with freshman all over the place*

Stop freaking out.

:furious3: One thing is we are the only big time college football team that had to replace both he O-line and D-line. (Thanks Dooley for not know how to build a football program) The way thinks are set up now is just win and you will be rewarded. Not like the days when Spur dog would hand 50 on a team. We got 2 wins. And been putting up 35+ points per game. Not bad.

I'd rather him not set a goal at all and just go out there every week believing we can win. Every teams goal is to win the NC, setting a 6 win bar is being mediocre.

so you were expecting strong runs the last 5 years? you don't know a thing about football if you were expecting a strong run at any point in the last 5 years...2012 was the one year I could see something happen,no one knew we would put the worst defense in the history of college football out on the field,but when we look at who was coaching,we should have...

the goal is 6 at minimum... 6...a bowl game...anything more is great...they are called baby steps...CBJ is having to build this from scratch basically,like an expansion franchise, as he likes to say...

... Don't worry about playoffs this year. Us not getting into the playoffs will be because of our 5 losses, not our 16 point win.

Look at the teams the others played compared to us. Florida Atlantic, Eastern Michigan, UAB, Ohio, San Jose State, Nicholls State. It's no wonder other teams scored so many points. Arkansas State is no pushover. They are better than those teams.
