Tech guys...need some advice!

I want to get a good quality projector so my family can watch movies outside. I plan on just using a sheet as the screen (my buddy uses it and it looks just fine)

What kind of projector has a good picture, and are there any that have Bluetooth so that I could have the sound come from my wireless bose speaker? If not what are my best options for sound? Are there any with decent internal speakers? (I like my movies loud!)

Thanks!

The issue I think you may encounter with bluetooth is the very slight (but very noticeable) sound delay. I think you'd be better off using the HDMI from your blu ray player to the video, then use an audio player of your own that's also attached to the blu ray player.

ok thanks man..def don't want the sound delay. I can hook up my computer via HDMI and my sound bar via audio cables, right?

Saw a DIY plan where a guy made a frame to hold his sheet tight with plumbing PVC pipe but only glued a few joints to be able to dismantle.

I've wondered about high specular white paints to maybe make the sheet perform better as a screen.

What about a soundbar with wifi rear speakers behind viewers?

As for projectors, the industry moves so fast I'd do my research online, which, I suppose you are, right here:)

Based on experience, i wouldn't even worry about audio out of the projector. It's a wasted step. I run an HDMI for the video, but run my audio directly from my computer or device. If you are playing the movie from a computer you can switch the audio to the line out, which should easily connect to any sound system.

I did a lot of research for a screen and ended up making my own out of a white fabric shower curtain liner and a tubular frame with stands. Works much better than a sheet as it also allows to to project from behind.

Getting a good stand is helpful. Here is one that also offers the Muslin clamps you can use to secure the sheet to the cross rail. shop around. I found mine at the time for about $40. All in, i had about $80 in the whole project.

OP, I think we have a thread about this somewhere. Maybe search because I think there were a few good recommendations in it. I have no idea where it is though

From what I understand, look at 3D projectors. Even though you don't care about the 3D capability, they require a brighter, more contrasted lamp to work, so the "regular" picture is superior. I have one and it has an amazing resolution and brightness.

You should be able to get an inexpensive receiver with Bluetooth and wireless capability. The Denon HEOS wireless speakers are impressive.
