Delaying tax filing two weeks because Congress changed laws at the end of the year seems quite reasonable to me, so yes.

I already filed and was told about it. Sitting out there in limbo, and they ask you if you received both stimulus and put it on form. No healthcare ID though.

Yup. that’s how we found out too. While this doesn’t effect me, it didn’t surprise me the people struggling will get ****ed once again by the government.

It’s sad how many people treat their tax refund as a bonus. They purposefully have excess tax withheld during the year so they get a fat check in April. Which of course they promptly blow on something stupid. So what was the point to begin with?

How about

(C) tax payer didn’t qualify for either gubmint handout but still has to wait two weeks for their refund.

By the middle of February we’ve generally got our return filed and the refund in the bank.
