McRae didn't even think about it when he got the pass. Had 3 seconds left plenty of time to drive.

So, they take a time-out and the play ends up being a desperation off-balance jumper from mr. inconsistent? Followed up with another long-range 3?

Yea we dont have a very physical 5 star under neath the basket or anything.

I think golden should have taken the shot. In my opinion he is the superstar on the team even though his name isn't as big as stokes or maymon

Every team has out of bounds plays which allows them to get good shots......except for UT.

Stokes would have missed any free throws anyway - should have took the 3 with 11 seconds left

Stokes had 3 attempts the entire game. How is that even possible? He isn't a great offensive player but 3 attempts? That's just poor coaching

Points to win And took two three pointers. Brilliant.

Seems to be a trend of how we try to close out winnable games. How many times over the past 5 years have we said this? Even when Pearl was coaching this happened

You've got to challenge the defense when you've got last possession because it gives you TWO chances to win--you either make a shot or there is chance you get fouled; and because the opponent most definitely does not want to foul, you have a better chance of making the shot. But you've got to take the ball to or toward the basket. To stand outside and heavy one from 25 feet simply gives the game away--as we stupidly did.

The zone always gets us because it shuts our big men down inside. We have to get someone to consistently hit the three or we will have this problem all season long. On the bright side we held the number 20 team in the country under 40. If we play D like that all season even if we don't have huge scoring nights we will win more than we lose.

When you shoot 18 pct as a team from 3 point range, there isn't a team in the country that is going to get the ball in the post on a consistent basis against a zone. This is why you saw Stokes only get 3 touches, then when he got it he got doubled. They dared us to shoot it and we missed. Can't do that against a good team playing a zone.

I have to say, he might have some talent, but when he gets the ball, he holds it and kinda stands there and gives the defense time to adjust and double him. He needs more urgency when he gets the ball. For as big as he is, he got bodied out a lot on the offensive end tonight.

Last season, you heard so many people comment on how tough Martin's team was. This team, even though it's the same players, just don't seem like they have that fire. Maybe when they get back into the grind of things but I was hoping to avoid a late run to have a shot at the tournament. Last night was the type of game Tennessee wanted. Hall and Stokes could have banged in the paint all night long but didn't look the least bit interested. It's confusing but I have faith it's going to get fixed.
