we lost JaJuan Smith and Chris Lofton to graduation, so with the trouble other players ran into, it still was not a shock that the outside shooting would be immediately damaged.

2008- we signed 2 point guards, 1 SG (whom is 6'5 and not an outside shooter), 1 SF, 1PF and 1C....
2009- LOI from a PF
In reality we have signed for 08-09: 2 PG, 2SF, 2PF and 1C. This game may be worse then a blip on the radar.

Does everyone else see the missing link?

Would like to know what happened to C. Tatum? It is similar to when we had two good RBs in L. Coker and A. Foster, no one cared if Coker could pass block because when he had the ball it was going to be special, meaning I don't care what Tatum's defense looks like if he is 6-9 from 3 pt range. Plus I don't see much defense anyways!!

Scotty Hopson can shoot the three. Don't kid yourself. That's not his specialty.. doesn't mean he can't do it very well.

actually if he can do it well, then please provide to me the reason he is not doing it.

Is this like a 5 year old telling another 5 year old, I know something but I can't tell you, let the SECRET out of the bag, Scotty!

a shooting guard to me is Jon Scheyer, Steph Curry, Wayne Ellington, AJ Abrams, even Elliot Williams, not Hopson, who is more of a slashing 3 G/F

Great logic. He isn't a shooting guard because he is good at getting the rim? So there are no shooting guards in the NBA? I guess they're all like JJ Reddick and sitting on the bench.

And Elliot William/Ellington aren't spot up shooters. I don't really consider Curry one either - he scores everywhere.

Hello. He's 50% on the year from downtown. Is this a bad thing in your book?

actually Tyler Smith is 40% and Brian Williams is 100%, it is not about that number, Hopson is 12-24 in 8 Games. He has tried 12 3-point FG in 8 Games, that is somtimes how many Lofton would score in 2 Games. We need a three point shooter to emerge, because our post play and half court offense is not working so far.

tell me which was a better team, 2 years ago when we had Lofton, Smith, Bradshaw, Crews and Smith or now? The shooters back then made Pearl's offense click, we could run the floor and there was always the fear of the 3 pt FG by Bradshaw, Lofton, Smith or Smith.

The only fear regarding Dane Bradshaw and 3 point shots was that he might break the backboard with one.

Didn't Dane shoot like .20 from beyond the arc? I think that would put fear in UT fans when he shot...not the other guys.

I have vivid memories of Bradshaw hitting two threes to thunderous applause... because he had missed the previous eight attempts. Not all that in one game, mind you.
