I really wish the best for Negedu and his family.. This kid had such a bright future in basketball in front of him.. I hope he get's back on his feet and challenges his other goals now..

Negedu is very very fortunate to be alive. We must look on the bright side here, that a Young man has a future with his life. I follow Wichita State BBall, hence my name, and we had a recruit two years ago, collapse and die in a pick up game. Very very tragic incident for him and his family. This is a blessing in disguise.

Sad news indeed, but more than anything, glad he is alive, still has a chance to get a degree, and hopefully provide for his family in Nigeria with that American degree he'll have.

Other websites have been reporting that he is out all next year, but they do not say his career is over (scout, rivals, govolsxtra, etc.). Is what Fox Sports reporting a new development and the other sites just haven't reported it yet, or is Fox Sports wrong?

Sad for a young man who loved the game. I shattered my ankle and ended my basketball days in high school, but it didn't hurt my future. My hope and prayer for this young man is the same.

I don't think this is completely true.I've only heard that he is out for the season,but depending on how everything turns out he could play in the future.

Does this mean his is loosing his scholarship? I assume if he isn't playing the scholarship will be taken away, that would be even more unfortunate for him.

Nope. Bruce is going to let him complete his education.

Man this sux, what a good kid; hope he ends up with a degree and a nice career elsewhere, maybe Pearl could use a GA.
